Son of a durum wheat and a barley from Chile and Argentina. Its peculiar name comes from the fusion of the Latin name of its father (Triticum) and its mother (Hordeum).

It is the result of a natural cross -a traditional practice applied since the beginning of agriculture. It is not a GMO. It is registered as a new crop species within the European Union.

Everything starts in the field. Tritordeum is cultivated mainly in Spain and Italy, in both conventional and ecological production systems. We work with local farmers, supporting local economy, and following a philosophy of respect for sustainable principles.

Tritordeum is a totally traceable cereal. The grain, grown by local farmers, passes from the field to a local store and then to the nearest mill. After a traditional milling process, the grain becomes quality flour.

This cereal has a value chain focussed on the control of the origin of the grain. With Tritordeum we know at all times the origin of the grain that went into the flour to make the products that we eat.
